What is SSPX?

I would like to know what exactly is the SSPX and what their relationship with the Church is. I would like to know their reasons for being discontent with Vatican II, what their arguments are against it, and why are they wrong (if they’re wrong) Why were the bishops excommunicated, and why were they lifted? (that aspect confuses me) Sorry for the long question. Thank you.
