I have a friend who I’ve found out has a Ouigi board. I’ve spoke to her about all the reasons why they are bad and now she wants to get rid of it.

The problem is I don’t know how to instruct her to do it properly. Is there a certain way to get rid of them?

Destroy it then toss it i’d say. However I’d look into it more.

When I found out what a Ouigi board really was, mine went into the trash.

Like other posters have said, I would definitely burn it (so no one else can get their hands on it) and then dump the ashes in the trash.

I’ve always heard bad things about burning them before throwing them away. I think I’d just hide it in an old pizza box or something and throw it out. I don’t think I’d destroy it in any way first though. Chances are slim that someone is going to break open an old pizza box to see what’s inside :rotfl: …and just as slim that they would go through your garbage anyway.

I would be very wary about destroying something that has anything to do with the paranormal. The vengeance that could be wrought upon her and her family might be more than she can bare. She should put it outside of her house for now.

She should get in contact with John Zaffis at prsne.com/ and ask him. I sat in one of his lectures and he is the real deal.

Evil spirits believe in vengeance. She should be very careful.

It is a piece of cardboard and a piece of plastic. The only thing evil is what people do with them. Break it in pieces if you are concerned with someone using it and just throw it away.

Say the prayer to Saint Michael when you do - I doubt any evil creepy thing will get before Michael.

Evil spirits are attached to objects just like they can be attached to people. They are nothing to play around with or take lightly.

“The Ouija board is one of the most controversial methods of communication ever invented. It has been condemned by parents and religious groups, they often cite this for cases of a malevolent forces masquerading as good. This can cause emotional damage and sometimes even possession, and is this possible? YES, this is a link to the dark side, where you can not control what can come through. “I CAN’T AND YOU CAN’T”!” -John Zaffis

May God’s peace, love and mercy be you all!

I would recommend for you to pray and ask Our Good Lord Jesus, Our Blessed Mother and St. Michael the Archangel for protection then bless yourself and the ouija board with holy water then burn it and throw the ashes in a running river.

God bless!

Blessed be Jesus and Mary!

This particualr topic always makes me uneasy when I read peoples reactions. I can’t help but feel this is just a game. A pretty silly one but none the less, a game. Not unlike Candyland or Monopoly or Mr. Potato Head. I have trouble believing the devil gives it a second thought.

I used to think this as well. I know someone personally who is a somewhat recent convert to the Catholic Faith. She was previously doing a lot of “searching” for where she needed to be spiritually and spent a lot of time with a Ouija board and told me of some of the horribly disturbing things that happened. She and a friend at the time were “communicating” with what they thought to be a young boy who had died. She said that it became all consuming and she contemplated suicide. I would have never believed it had she not told me of her own experiences, and the look in her eyes said it all.

While I do believe that it is a piece of cardboard and a piece of plastic, what one does with it can have absolutely lethal consequences - both spiritually and physically.

Oh, good grief, the “power” of this piece of junk lies in you. Toss it. Don’t validate it with anything more.

this is the proper way to destroy a ouija. the problems arise when an open board is burned before it is closed. the prayers close it. and the ashes can also be buried, but definitely it should be prayed over, blessed with Holy Water and burned.

I thought I had heard that you should never burn a Ouija board. I could be wrong, but I am almost certain I read that somewhere. Holy water and a priest’s blessing are definitely a good idea though.

If your friend is Catholic, be sure that she realizes that she needs to confess this as well.

2116 All forms of divination are to be rejected: recourse to Satan or demons, conjuring up the dead or other practices falsely supposed to “unveil” the future. Consulting horoscopes, astrology, palm reading, interpretation of omens and lots, the phenomena of clairvoyance, and recourse to mediums all conceal a desire for power over time, history, and, in the last analysis, other human beings, as well as a wish to conciliate hidden powers. They contradict the honor, respect, and loving fear that we owe to God alone.

2117 All practices of magic or sorcery, by which one attempts to tame occult powers, so as to place them at one’s service and have a supernatural power over others - even if this were for the sake of restoring their health - are gravely contrary to the virtue of religion. These practices are even more to be condemned when accompanied by the intention of harming someone, or when they have recourse to the intervention of demons. Wearing charms is also reprehensible. Spiritism often implies divination or magical practices; the Church for her part warns the faithful against it. Recourse to so-called traditional cures does not justify either the invocation of evil powers or the exploitation of another’s credulity.
Now read this. This is serious and should not be taken lightly.
