What is the appropriate way to get rid of a Ouigi board?

If it really is made of plastic, the fumes from the burning could definately be dangerous, evil spirits aside. Is it possible for her to destroy it some other way? Cut it up?

She should definately go to confession. Even though she wasn’t completely involved, the blessings never hurt! She could also ask her priest then to bless her house if pssible or at least get Holy Water to sprinkle in the room where she had the board.

I have even thrown away the cheap, plastic ‘Magic 8’ ball that came in a children’s meal and then blessed my son with Holy Water.

I thought I had heard that you should never burn a Ouija board. I could be wrong, but I am almost certain I read that somewhere. Holy water and a priest’s blessing are definitely a good idea though.

If your friend is Catholic, be sure that she realizes that she needs to confess this as well.
you should not burn an open ouija, it is a portal. close it first with prayer and Holy Water.

Wow…this stuff really isn’t anything to mess around with. Before I was born, my grandmother and her best friend would play with ouija board. My grandmother’s friend asked it what she could do to win the lottery. It told her to go to Basha’s (that was our local grocery store chain) and purchase a ticket, and she would win. She followed the board’s advice, and when she didn’t win the lottery they went back to the board to ask it why…

It told her she went to the wrong Basha’s store.

“The Ouija board is one of the most controversial methods of communication ever invented. It has been condemned by parents and religious groups, they often cite this for cases of a malevolent forces masquerading as good. This can cause emotional damage and sometimes even possession, and is this possible? YES, this is a link to the dark side, where you can not control what can come through. “I CAN’T AND YOU CAN’T”!” -John Zaffis
I agree which is why I posted this question to begin with.

It’s funny to me how many people think it is such a joke. When I was very young I made the mistake, before I knew what it was and what it did, of participating in one at a slumber party. I was probably 7 or 8 and have since confessed this and dealt wiht it and so forth. There were like 14 girls there, the lights started flickering the door began locking and unlocking itself from the inside via one of those chain locks and the list goes on and on. 14 girls, 14 witnesses, 14 people who will never go there again. It is not something to mess with. Yet it is such a perfect tool for evil because sooo many people think it is a joke. All you can do is pray for them.

Being one of those people who think it’s a joke (by the way, I’m not trying to be critical there are obviously many people here who take this seriously), I have a question to ask.

Why the board? In other words, if the devil can lock and unlock doors why does he need someone playing with a Ouigi board to do it? Also, why the odd manner of showing himself? Lights flickering, hearing steps, things moving etc. Why not something more dastardly and dangerous? Curious.

Good question and I had the same for the Priest I worked with. If it wasn’t a mystery we would all be on the same page.

The devil’s ultimate conquest is to gain our souls in hell or essentially pull us away from God. His locking and unlocking the doors and turning the lights on and off is not being done because the user used the Ouigi board per sai. His motivation is more advanced than something so simple. His motivation might be just to increase the users curiosity of the Ouigi board itself. We should only be asking God through prayer to answer questions for us or help direct our lives.

I think the devils purpose of the light show was to make us BELIEVE in the Ouigi board. And it worked. His next step might be to make us use it more and more for answers all the while pulling us away further and further away from God. We could easily contaminate other people through our use of it as well by showing them that it actually works.

Curiosity is a very risky trait that we as humans have. When most humans would use a Ouigi board and stuff like this would happen it would only increase their curiosity and he would have a foot in.

I’ve also read that with posession the devil needs to be invited into the person and that he can’t essentially force posession. With that being said people still get possessed through things without realizing as the devil will twist a persons dependance on him through a Ouigi board as an invitation to share the body so to speak.

I can see why this seems so silly when you not thinking about the bigger picture. I agree, what would the devil care about putting on a light show? Why would he waste his energy? But the battle is so much bigger than the show itself and so is the risk.

Oh and as to your question as to why it wasn’t a more disasterous show? Well if he did that no one would use the Ouigi board again and he looses his method of gaining entry.

But if you look at it from this perspective it’s even scarier that people don’t take it seriously. It’s like playing with fire and not feeling the burn. Does that help you understand?

And no, your question is not offensive, it is a good question.

I want to add that many people use the Ouigi board and have no immediate effects and so they think there is no damage, However Satin doesn’t work on our time frame so sometimes the whiplash doesn’t even occur in our generation. A grandchild of the user may get attacked and have no clue why.

Hopefully this helps.

demons are not stupid (but IMO they ARE reckless and lazy) and they have made a study of humans for thousands of years. They know what works and what doesn’t. They understand our nature and use things like archetypes and fears to manipulate our thinking. (If some humans can do that then surely they can too.) But they are limited. Also using divination tools is WILLINGLY opening your will to them. Like inviting them in.

Thanks Ravyn, straight to the point unlike me. 🙂

People forget that demons are, in fact, ANGELS first and foremost. Fallen ones, of course. We are NO MATCH for angels. If God allows it, they can destroy us in a split second.

Garbage can! 👍
Those things are hell bound so do likewise. Burn it and pray for God’s blessing on the person not a curse. DON"T throw it away because some other person could get it and satin would start again doing his thing.

…and a blessing for the one and the one’s family that is throwing it away. Demons believe in revenge and carry it out as many exorcists state.:o

Break it in half and through it away. People make Ouigi boards out of paper and a glass. What gives it power is you, and your will, and intent. Take a black marker and scribble out the markings if that makes you feel better. Just get rid of it. I don`t recommend burning it, as that could create toxic fumes.

The board is a tool used to channel evil, but it has no power in and of itself.

If it really bothers you, ask a priest the proper way to dispose of it.

Sincerely,

Maria1212

Take a heavy boot or hammer to break it up. That’s probably what I’d do.🤷

Land fill … I think they will bio-degrade.

I guess you could use it to start the fire in your fireplace:shrug:

Burn it. Don’t send it to the land fill - I’ve heard stories that newspapers are preserved there for decades. That they don’t biodegrade for decades. Again, burn it.

Only and I mean Only IF God allows this to happen (read Job)

But God is in command and demons can only do what God allows them to do, no more but at times less if God chooses.

Of course. Exorcists have been hurt/maimed in the past, that is a fact. I think possession of people is a little more common than we think. How many people are in the nut houses and are not really “mental”? How many people died of “natural” causes that really weren’t “natural”???

I would like to know what Pope Leo XIII , who wrote that prayer of St. Michael, saw in that vision Satan and his angels at work in this world and what kind of evil they are responsible for. I think it would be an eyeopener for many people. Anyone have any info???

Here is what I found:

**A Short History of the Prayer of St. Michael the Archangel

** ** The Prayer of St. Michael the Archangel goes back to the late 19th Century. In 1884, Pope Leo XIII** was finishing Mass and was walking away from the Tabernacle when he collapsed. Those that were at the Mass surrounded him and when a pulse could not be found, he was thought to be dead. The Pope then “came to”, having collapsed in a state of ecstasy. He then related what he had experienced.
** From in front of the Tabernacle, he had heard a confrontation between Jesus and Satan. Satan was bragging to Jesus that if he had enough time and enough power, he could destroy the Church. Jesus asked him “How much time and how much power?” Satan replied he would need a century and more influence over those that would give themselves to him. Jesus said “So be it.” The 20th Century is the century that was given to him to test the world. **
** The Pope was quite shaken having heard this and went immediately to write the Laentein Exorcism Prayer, of which the Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel is the short version. Pope Leo XIII also knew that the Rosary13 Encyclicals on the Rosary. **
