I’m 15 and I’m a catholic trad. I want to find out a good traditional catholic prayer book for my daily devotions, through the Internet. I thought of using an ebook /pdf of the book. There are many old, traditional catholic prayer books available on archives. org, but I 'm not sure what to choose. Please help me.

My favorite is a very basic one that includes fundamental Catholic prayers, devotions and the Mass. It is too simplistic for some but a comforting time honored tradition of prayers to me. It is the Catholic Book of Prayers by Rev. Maurus Fitzgerald published by the Catholic Book Publishing Corporation. It is available on Amazon as an ebook, paperback book and I think also as an audio book. It is available in a large font addition for senior citizens like me which at age 15 doubt you would need. But someone else might require that form. Hope that you find the right one for you.

@Tradcat1 Thank you for your inquiry as to what would be a good prayer book. I hope you have been given adequate information. It has prompted me to update my dog eared paperback edition of Catholic Book of Prayers to the Kindle edition. You have made a positive influence in my own prayer life though that was not your intent. I will say a prayer for you using the Kindle edition. 🙏

I find it ironic that one of the recommended traditional Catholic prayer books comes from a publisher with a heavy Baptist lean. They do publish for all denominations, but it just caught my attention.

is that so? I have no clue about this Thomas A Nelson tho. The prayers are all very traditional prayers.

google search shows me there’s 2 people here. I think Thomas A Nelson (TAN books - US) and Thomas Nelson (Scotland) are two different people.

Besides, it doesn’t make any sense for a Baptist to publish Catholic prayers considering the fact that they are typically anti-Catholic. Ha.
