What is the lesser of the evils - a gay man living chastely with a man, or a gay man living chastely with a woman? Obviously there is a very near occasion of sin with the two men, and a cause for scandal with those who know he is gay. But there is a cause for scandal with the cohabitation of a man and woman as well.

I think the best situation would be for him to live alone, but that’s not always possible given the price of living. I’m leaning towards the man and woman living together. But what are your thoughts?

I would agree. If he were to act it would be much worse than if he was causing scandal, in my opinion. So I think he should go with the one that would keep him from committing an act, which would be living with the woman.

You stated your question wrong. There is nothing wrong in either case. You should have said which is the bigger temptation to do wrong.Since in either case it would be wrong to engage in sex I would say the temptation would be equal. Its just as mortal for 2 homosexuals to have sex as it is for 2 heterosexuals to have sex if they are unmarried.

I would disagree…

But it is late and I got to sleep…

as to the question…

We do not go for the lesser evil…we go for the good. 🙂

And hopefully often the greater good.
