What is the Catholic Teaching on Tattoos?

Please tell me what the Catholic teaching is on tattoos. In my research I have only found opinions one way or the other. Several people have quoted Leviticus as a way to say tattoos are immoral. But Leviticus also says “Don’t eat fruit from a tree less than 5 years old and don’t cut your hair” sooooo? Anyway I really would like to have an apologist answer me on this one. Is there something in the Catechism? or some Catholic document or something you can refer to? Thank you
