What is the Catholic teaching regarding horror films?

Although I don’t watch horror films or read horror stories now as I find them too upsetting, I am sometimes tempted by the latest release, even though I know that they will disturb me - including nightmares. Many people seem to think that there is no harm from them and its just another ‘thrill’. Is there any specific teaching in our Faith about horror films/books? Thank You.
