Does the Church have an official declaration of what it Is? Is it a heresy?
The Church typically does not make official declarations regarding other specific denominations, esp. those which have been around for just a few centuries.

A person who has received Christian baptism or is a believer in Jesus Christ and his teachings.
That’s the definition.

Mormons fit the definition,

Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints unequivocally affirm themselves to be Christians. They worship God the Eternal Father in the name of Jesus Christ.

Sounds christian to me

I am serious.

Do you think that just because someone claims to identify as [A], even if she doesn’t meet the definition of [A]…that makes her [A]?
They do meet the definition. We disagree on the Trinity, but the Trinity is not strictly speaking a requirement for Christianity. Belief that Jesus is the son of God is

Well, only in the way that Rachel Dolezal meets the definition of being black…even though she has white ancestors traced back at least 3 generations.

That you recognize the absurdity of this ^^
is telling.

QED.

Mormons fit the definition,
There are likely some Christians in LDS.

But it’s in spite of the LDS, not because of it.

They are preaching another gospel. Here’s what Paul had to say about that:
New International Version Galatians 1:8
But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse!

Dolzeal is not black. She is in no way black. Mormons are christian because they believe Jesus is the son of God

I agree with you, they are Wrong. But they meet the dictionary definition of a Christian. Unless you disagree with that definition and think it’s something else

She believes she’s black and has re-defined what being black means.

Just like they’ve re-defined what being the son of God means.

So be consistent, TTS. Both are true or neither are true.

So no body is christian except catholics, because protestants redifined what the son of God is. The son of God would only want them to be part of his church.

Be consistent Pr both are true, or neither are true

That’s an absurd analogy

But they meet the dictionary definition of a Christian.
Another example: Lawrence Krauss, an atheist, has declared in his book, “A Universe from Nothing”, that he has evidence of something popping in to existence from nothing.

Except he’s re-defined “nothing” to be “low level energy field”.

LOL!

Can you give a definition of what a Protestant denomination says the son of God is that differs from the Catholic definition?

Please cite your sources for their differing definition. And it must contain the phrase “son of God”.

Please also cite the Catholic definition for “son of God” for contrast.

Thanks.

There are many protestant churches with different definitions, which include jw and lds. There is not one definition

So you have nothing to back up your claim.

I see, then.

It should be pretty easy to offer a definition of the son of God by a Protestant denom that differs from the Catholic def, if what you say is true.

Here’s your statement again:
So no body is christian except catholics, because protestants redifined what the son of God is.
