What is the Church's teaching of the "Rapture"?

I am a catholic and have begun to study the Bible. Based on my own study of the Bible, there are 2 stages of the Second coming of Jesus Christ - the Rapture and the Revelation. What does the church teach regarding the “Rapture”?
