What is the condition of the Church in Poland?

I’ve got a cousin who is an evangelical Christian and her husband is a Protestant minister. They go to Poland and Romania to “spread the gospel.” One of their main activities is Bible teaching.

Is there Bible study in the Polish churches? It seems that a lot of Catholics go to their Bible study classes.

I don’t know about Bible studies but Catholicism is very much alive in Poland. They lead in seminarians but I’ll have to look up my sources to give you the numbers.
 
We have a couple of families that have recently immigrated from Poland. It seems to me the Church is alive and has been. One of the families has a daughter that will make her 1st Communion in the Spring. Mom was telling me about her 1st HC dresses, baptismal dresses and such other very Catholic things.
 
What’s especially interesting that in the Polish communities, whether you’re divorced or not, cohabitating or not, you still go to church and the priest is your best friend. They don’t all go to communion too but their reverence is very strong. And the language is less harsh and perhaps less ambiguous than the English but then I’m prejudiced a bit too. 🙂
 
I believe 87% of professed Roman Catholics attend weekly Mass in Poland. This is merely a statistic, but if it is true we have nothing to worry about. Please pray that God blesses that ancient country of solid Christian morals every day!
