What is the difference between a “gravely disordered act” and “mortal sin”?
 
A mortal sin is a sin that cuts off the offender from God because it consists of a grave act done with full knowledge and complete consent. Not all grave acts are “gravely disordered” though; a “gravely disordered action” is an action that seriously violates the natural order.
