What is the difference between a magic amulet and a sacramental (i.e. Saint Medal, Scapular, etc)?

What is the difference between a magic amulet and a sacramental (i.e. Saint Medal, Scapular, etc)?

From what I know is that an amulet contains specific spiritual power from outer forces and conferred by the person praying for it. How is this any different than a sacramental which a priest blesses through the power of the Church? I’ve also read CCC 2117, which doesn’t make anything clear since couldn’t blessed object be charms?
