What is the difference between eternity and infinity?

I picture eternity as an endless existence, but with a definite beginning, like a Geometric ray.

I picture infinity like a Geometric line, having no beginning and no end.

ALthough I suppose there is really not too much difference.

Curious. I suppose that except for the fact some are combined with my radios, I could get rid of all my clocks?! If that is true, then I suppose that length, width and/or depth do not exist either.

And another question… from where is the origin of mathematics?
