What is the difference between "Predestination" and "Fate/Destiny"?

Are there any Bible verse about predestination or fate/destiny in the Bible? Why does the Catholic Church oppose the Predestinationism? Thank you very much.

The Church doesn’t oppose Predestination they just believe…
For Catholics, when God “establishes his eternal plan of ‘predestination,’ he includes in it each person’s free response to his grace” (CCC 600). Thus, anyone who is finally saved will have been predestined by God because it was God’s predestined plan and God’s grace that went before him and enabled him to be saved.

What the Church does oppose is the idea that God Predestines some to heaven and some to hell.
Indeed, the Bible cannot be any plainer than to say God is, “not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance” (2 Pt 3:9). God wills all to be saved. To be damned, a person must willfully reject God’s “predestined plan” for his salvation (cf. CCC 2037)

I’m not sure how you are defining “fate/destiny”. From God’s perspective yes He knows what our fate/destiny will be. However, from our perspective our fate/destiny is not predetermined. Because God has chosen to include our free (present and future) responses to His grace, in our destiny. So yes what we do now and in the future does matter to God.
 
anhphan, Jesus Christ, our Great and Kind Saviour and God, states “If you wish to enter into Life, then keep the commandments”, (Matthew 19;17), letting us know we are free to chose, (Deuteronomy 30:19), and that our actions shall determine our fate, (Matthew 16:27, Galatians 5:19,20,21, Ephesians 5;5,6, Revelation 2;23, John 5:29, 1 John 1:9, Luke 13:5), as God desires all to be saved.(1 Peter 3:9, 1 Timothy 2:4), but we must respond.(Matthew 7:21, 1 Corinthians 6:9).
