Basically, the Catholic Church was founded by Jesus Christ. The Anglican churches were founded by King Henry VIII when he founded the Church of England. When Kind Edward VI (who succeeded Henry) was head of that church, belief in the sacrifice of the Mass was dropped.
From then on, the Catholic Church has not considered their ordinations to be valid. Simply dressing up their liturgies with Catholic accoutrements is not enough to restore the validity of their ordinations.
Now, with their attempts at ordaining women and people who live out their same sex attractions, the gap between the Anglican churches and the Catholic Church is only getting wider. This is why whole parishes of Anglicans are returning to the Church of Rome.
