I would like to know if there is a difference between a Christening and a Baptisim-]/-]

Yeah pretty much, in some protestant churches where the concept of infant baptism is not accepted they will have a ceremony of dedication with parents and godparents and such without an actual baptism which is left until sometime after the child reaches their 8th birthday.
