What is the evil eye?

It’s a superstition that is not part of Catholic teaching and should be ignored by any good Catholic.
If you’re concerned about evil, then say the Prayer to St. Michael and ask God to shoo it away and go on with your day.
 
It may have originated in Ancient Greece and has crept into several other cultures including Judaism. In the latter, however, it is more of a superstitious custom that can easily be warded off by the “good eye,” rather than in any way an obligatory belief. I wouldn’t pay any attention to it.
