I’ve heard of some atheist arguments using the Flying Spaghetti Monster as another just-as plausible explanation for God. I’ve done a little bit of research and haven’t found anything of a Catholic response to it.
The so-called Flying Spaghetti Monster is the “deity” of a parody religion called “Pastafarianism.” It was created as satire intended to protest the teaching of intelligent design in public schools. There is no need to respond to it. It was never intended to be an argument for or against God, but a means of mocking those people who promoted the theory of intelligent design.
