In the Gloria we have: Suscipe deprecationem nostram (receive our prayer).
Why do we use anorher Latin word for prayer than found in Ora pro nobis?
I guess the Gloria was originally in Greek so the Latin is just a translation.
What kind of prayer are we refering to here?
And why “receive” instead of “hear”?
