Certainly a bizarre activity for a monastic to participate in but I didn’t see any lewd dancing. Still, this video makes me wonder about state of Catholic monasticism.

Wow, this is weird…
Last night, I searched CAF to find information on Novus Ordo Watch. I found this thread from two years ago…and today people are posting in it again. Weird…
In any case, my biggest question is who’s behind it? I’ve listed to its “TRADCAST” podcasts (I don’t recommend them to anyone here) and seen its news updates. Clearly someone is behind the wheel. But who?
As to whether Novus Ordo Watch is Catholic, I guess the safe answer is that it’s aligned with Catholics in schism. Not the safest choice, for sure, of reading/listening material.

I agree. It’s weird that a new member’s first ever post would be to revive a two-year-old thread and post an oblique defence of NOW.
As for who is behind them, they are annoyingly coy about it, saying that they prefer anonymity and accusing those less extreme than them of seeking attention by plastering their names over their work.
Their official position is Sedevacantism, and they leave no stone unturned in castigating those (including the SSPX) who refuse to embrace that position.
It’s worth reading for the farcical tone of some of the posts, but it’s by no means a reliable resource on Catholicism or Catholic Tradition.

Well then! I guess that’s a foolproof way of defending anonymity – anyone asking for full disclosure is naturally just about the glories of vanity.
They give me a good laugh. I’m not sure others wouldn’t be tainted by their “arguments” so I’d never recommend them. If no one but God has authority over the Pope, or the power to judge him, then you are your own (false) God.
Resist immediately the first glance of the gloom and doom.
