What is the meaning of 'De fide'?

Ott’s book, ‘Fundamentals of Catholic Doctrine’, continually uses the Latin term “De fied” without any expination; I assume it represents “Defined” Dogma. He also uses “Sent. certa.”; does this mean ‘Doctrine’?

Hi Edgar,

“De Fide” means of the faith. That which is “De Fide” must be believed by Catholics.
“Sent. Certa” is an observation that is certain.
