What is the most annoying thing you've read on the forums?

i agree with the implication that people, generally, don’t know what it means to “love one another”…

however… if one is in love with Christ (too bad there aren’t more in the world who fit that description:( ) s/he will invariably “love” anything/anyone that is anti-Christ much less…

I’m not impressed with the Muslim religion at all… While Christians can and do hate whatever they perceive to be anti-Christian (& they should), they do not usually hate actual PEOPLE who ascribe to antiChristian views - at least not to the point of violence and murder. Muslims don’t seem to have a problem with murdering people who don’t believe the way they do… (911, the man who kills his wife because she filed for divorce, etc)…

I admit i HATE … more since i became a devout Catholic than i did before… I HATE evil more… i hate lack of true love for Christ more than ever… I hate hypocricy… even when (especially when) i see it in myself…

sometimes i’ve been guilty of hating people also… have to admit… because as a human i find it difficult , at times, to separate sin from sinner… However, i correct myself (sometimes 😃 ) immediately… Confession helps this process of self-knowledge immensely… Muslims don’t have confession & most protestants don’t practice any form of confession either… (to another human, representative of Christ)…

anyway… Jesus said that if we do not hate our brother, sister, mother, children… (etc, etc), even our very lives, we are not WORTHY of him…

so HATE is not the problem… It is what we do with it that can be a problem…

This love stuff gets confusing… sometimes…

I’m not going to say “Oh, you wonderful abortionist, I don’t like what you do,but that’s OK because you just believe differently than i do… were raised different, etc… We can just agree to disagree… and certainly not ask each other to change one bit… I hope we can be friends…”

For me the most ‘annoying’ thing is to fight back my urge to belittle someone with what I may write because of their lack of understanding about the Catholic faith.

I think things like having a person who knows nothing about me as a person make such a comment as this:

It is very difficult to have productive dialogue within this type of interaction. 🤷
 
People who are uninformed and yet post idiotic things about how great a president we have. When he does not care one iota about life and passes bills loaded with pork.

And not to get off the subject, but I just read he is passing a bill soon so that every hospital will perform abortions. The Catholic hospitals will not go against the faith and may have to be closed. Terrible. Also I read that Anti-Christ oops! I meant Obama, wants nothing to do with opening prayers at ceremonies. He refuses to partake in them. :eek:

It is against forum rules to call someone anti-christ.

I suggest you edit your post before a mod sees it.

i can so totally relate!!!

…and so… we find out who we really are, don’t we??? :sad_yes::banghead::ouch:

(OK, i’ll drop the WE and speak only of myself…)…

I just think its amazing to see how uncharitable i can be when… things don’t go my way, which incidentally, is ALL the time… :hypno:

but anyway, we must also (intentionally left the WE in this time :)) love ourselves… accept that we are human/weak/sinners… accept ourselves, reject and fight the sin…

NOT easy… but anyway… nothing about Christianity is easy… 🤷
 
When some say Our Lord Jesus Christ did not die on the croos and lived untill the age of 123 years of age and He was married to many wifes … And heaven will be drinikng of wine and sex…That Cathicism was just a invention and not saying that the Bible was not witten by Cathloic and that all the Apostles are not Cathloic ,and see people arguing about the Bible with their private interpretation. Do I have more,well yes people putting all of the rubbish on this board. Now that I got my self upset I, going to get some dinner boy I feel good. GOD bless all on this board

We have The TRUTH on our side, so why do we manifest anger:shrug::bigyikes:

Some posters “egg us on” just to get such a responce. Use humor, satire, truth, wit, and
enjoy working in God’s Vineyard:yup:

Yeah, I think the most annoying thing on this forum and ANY religious based forum on the web is the anger that happens. People bash on each other and get all angry. Coming from someone who is trying to come back to the faith, its very discouraging to see people essentially just not practicing what they preach.

Though, when people come on here and bash on Catholics I get a little upset too, its not like we can just roll over and accept everyone else’s beliefs. Whats the point of having your own beliefs if youre going to just accept everything else? There’s a difference between tolerance and standing for your beliefs. I just said beliefs a million times in one paragraph. That’s annoying too.
 
Illogical responses and/or assumptions, intellectual dishonesty, and last but not least arrogance .

yeah, i think this is probably the MOST annoying thing I’ve encountered here…

but i just figure: that person is not very spirtiually “evolved”… & let it go like water off a duck’s back…

I didn’t USED to do that… i used to get :mad: … but, well, i decided to get more spiritually evolved… 😃 meaning i think it is better to just ignore it… might save my blood pressure or something… 🤷
