What is the most ridiculous, asinine TV commercial on the air, today?

I actually enjoy the entertaining ads and I used to love Mr Mayhem. Haven’t seen an advert of his for a while. Do they still have the original Mayhem? If they changed actors it would ruin it.

Dr. Squatch Soap is running a whole series of Youtube ads that seem to appear on every video I watch touting some kind of man-splaining red-pill all-natural soap they make, but the ads are funny. I caught myself actually considering buying some of their soap though I am female and am not buying soap or gifts for any men.

The ads that drive me nuts lately are the current crop of Grammarly ads because they also seem to appear on every video I watch, they are not funny or entertaining, and everybody in them seems to lack basic writing skills. If you graduated from college then you should not need a computer helper program to edit your e-mails to your boss. They used to have a funny ad about a best man trying to write a wedding toast to his best friend. I haven’t seen that one in a while.

Mr. Mayhem is appearing now in the role of someone’s menacing pet cat that destroys their house, and also in the role of a dog in a moving car that tries to lick his mistress driver, who notes, “Didn’t I see you eating poop?”, then proceeds to tear up a briefcase and sticks his head out the window and barks at a small dog in another car at a stop light.

He also has recently appeared in one where his job, as he truthfully announces, is a “car thief”, and he steals this guys car who is witnessing it on his smart phone, then backs the car he has stolen into a parked motorcycle and clips (I think a mailbox?) as he speeds away. Then he announces, “If you’ve got cut-rate insurance, you’ll feel like you’ve been robbed twice …” or words to that effect.

He always has a small bandaid in the corner of his forehead. I think it’s still the same actor that has appeared in all of them.

Don’t know about the Squatch Soap ads – I don’t recall ever seeing those. Whenever I watch videos on YouTube, I always elect to skip the ads, or I close them when they appear (little X in the upper corner of the ad box).

One of the sillier ones are the Liberty Mutual ads with that guy and this emu who often wears sunglasses. What exactly the purpose is for the emu, I still haven’t figured out. I think it has something to do with being bird-brained, maybe?

Really?

Fewer Americans smoke (tobacco) now than ever before.

Now if we could get the same campaign going against marijuana.

ICXC NIKA

Today, vaping is replacing cigarette smoking, and it’s harming the lungs just like cigarettes did. People are being hospitalized with respiratory issues from vaping.

Anything advertising contraceptives. I find it hard to believe, that in my country they won’t advertise cigarettes on television because they cause cancer, but they can advertise birth control which also causes cancer. For the record, I don’t smoke, and I’m not condemning you if you do, I’m just pointing out the hypocrisy.

Supposedly a sprite commercial but actually promotes trangenderism.

this is an ad that ran in Argentina, and it’s gone viral in certain groups in the US

Why would a company make a commercial like that? They ostracized the majority of their consumer base.

You win for asinine.

That Allstate commercial with “Mr. Mayhem” posing as a cat, dog and whatever else
I like those ones. The dog one is funny.

I can do without the Liberty Mutual Emu though.

I’ve seen that one. It’s on our TV a lot. Not funny – just dumb. Chain saws? REALLY?

Thought that was funny.

I think the actor at the end with the chainsaws might have been one if the actors who played the Geico caveman.
