Why dont Christians ever talk about it?
The New Covenant is the covenant in the blood of Jesus, the once-for-all sacrifice by which we are forgiven and by which we are redeemed. When supper was ended He took the cup, again He gave You thanks and praise, gave the cup to his disciples and said “Take this all of you and drink from it: this is the cup of my blood, the blood of the New and Everlasting Covenant. It will be shed for you and for all so that sins may be forgiven.”
Wouldn’t it be more important that we try to LIVE it rather than just talk about it? Yes, we will all fail at times in the living of it, but we need to at least try to live it, and be reconciled to God when we do fall through His sacrament of confession. God definitely lives His end of the covenant. Why dont Christians ever talk about it?
Read the above responses. They did not say that the New Covenant IS the blood of Jesus, but rather ESTABLISHED IN the blood of Jesus, that is, sealed by the blood. The New Covenant is sealed by the blood of Jesus.
The blood of Jesus is not the New Covenant.
So back to my original question What is the New Covenant? Why do Christians not talk about it?
