What is the new - "opiate of the masses"

Your answers in the above post truly make me sad…
But then - maybe we have each have very different views of the given encounter…

Let’s start with the encounter as I see it…

Father sees you somewhere sitting or walking, alone, but active on your device.
He has been wanting to talk to you so he walks over and says, “Hello LW, got a minute?”
What do you do?

Okay, now see here is where timing should matter in your success. If, I’m not in the mood I’ll definitely say it out. I’d say the same thing to any door-to-door preacher.

Should a priest approach me right after mass though. That’s a different story. Get it? Timing and interest. (Oh and of course, subject matter.)

OK so you maybe you say - Sorry Father I don’t have time right now…how about ( insert better time to talk)…

Now - for the clincher question…Do you pause your game or ignore your text long enough to have this brief…maybe 90 second conversation?
 
It is a basic truism that as Christianity advances tattooing declines and as Christianity retreats tattooing emerges again. The general retreat of Christianity in Western life has naturally seen a consequent epidemic of tattooing as people seek ritualistic ways of expressing what is important to them in a world without Christian faith.

In these tattoos we can see the things taht they hold dear…their opiates if you will. Family names and words like mother or dad. More or less individualistic ( or at least aht tis the fond wish of the subject ) musings in Hindi or Arabic ( any language seen as esoteric ) about individualism reflecting an atomised society. Soccer teams etc.

If you want to know what is important to post Christian pagans read their ink.

More like I let my face do the talking. A good speaker knows how to read an audience after all. 👍

That is under the assumption that the speaker makes it a point that it will indeed last about 90 seconds. And again, if you are too blatant about it in the end instead of the beginning, it is just as rude.
 
The new but old opiate of the masses is socialism laced with gay marriage, abortion, drugs, and porn.

The devil serves up this mixture in whatever proportions the individual sinner chooses.

And words spoken in charity and respect are even easier to “read”.

Well - let’s see…since the initial question was, “do you have a minute” the pastor has made the point that it need only be a brief conversation. So you need not make any assumption.
