Well, we may all have to deal with money, but most of have to deal with toilet paper too. I mean, maybe some people can go a day or two (much longer and I might be worried) without having to handle it.

But I don’t think it’d be right to say that we’re all obsessed with it.

Wrong!! You’re thinking of income taxes. If you buy anything even a water bottle from the corner gas station you’re paying taxes, or if you buy a dollar cheese burger from Micky-Dees you are paying taxes. Granted it’s not that much but its still tax.

Yes but you asked what all Americans have in common…That excludes non-citizens for even if they live here they are not “Americans” until they obtain citizenship…

…well my point, if there is one, is that Americans needs to have something -anything in common besides “being human”, being citizens", and “having money”… So if we actually lived in a world where we could make things happen, what common thing could all Americans possibly take pride in as a form of unity…? What do other more morally sound countries have as a common denominator besides being of the same race?

An unladen swallow is a swallow that flies unladen, as in not carrying any luggage or coconuts. It’s an old Monty Python joke.
