We believe in one God, the Father, eternally existant and one Lord, eternally begotten not made, and in the Holy Spirit, who proceeds from the Father and the Son.

What is the Church’s teaching on the origination of the Holy Spirit?
 
Hi,

As the Third Person of the Holy Trinity, the Holy Spirit is God and has no origin. The Catholic Church teaches that the Holy Spirit eternally proceeds from the Father and the Son.
