What is the 'person?'

This is a tough question that probably relates to the soul, self, mind, brain and personality.

What happens when we treat multiple personalities? Are they multiple persons? Do we kill a ‘person’ in favor of another ‘person’ when we merge multiple personalities or kill a personality?

I think it depends on how these personalities analyzed thoroughly via all available and required professional methods, medically, scientifically, psychologically, spiritually and technologically. The question is; how can you treat a multiple personalities in favor of another person? Contradiction . That is something? Maybe a net work of connection can give the solution hahaha.:egyptian:

Multiple personality disorder is just that, a disorder.

When there are 2 “personae”, this may be just the human mind dividing for self protection. There still is only one person: the conscious body.

In the rare instances of MPD where there are as many as 19 personae, I’d venture a guess that this is something spiritual, analogous to the man who told our LORD their name was “Legion”. But I am not a psychologist, so just INNAAHO, of course.

A human person or being is the life/mind combined with the breathing body.

I think there is a need to understand about personality(ies) and legion. They are totally differ in nature and description just like Jesus casting out legion and a psychiatrist treating a disordered multiple personalities. Maybe you can clarify more :thankyou:
