Isaiah 43:7 and 21: “every one who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory,
whom I formed and made.” AND "the people whom I formed for myself that they might declare my praise.

He wished to share His Love by giving us life and to give us an opportunity to go to Heaven to be with Him forever.

The thing is, He didn’t have to create anything.
It has been suggested that He created the universe as a consequence of His love, and love involves more than one party. If He is all-loving, who is there to love if He did not create the universe? Loving Himself would be narcissistic! Well, this is a problem for the unitarian Jews and Muslims but not for Christians who are Trinitarians. God is one, but He is of three persons, all three eternally in love. With the love between God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, there was no need to create the universe for God to love.
So why did he create the universe?
Well, the Catechism, on the first page, says that it was sheer gratuitousness.
In any case, we’re not supposed know EVERYTHING. Mysteries of the Faith and all that.

I truly believe that God created us because it is simply a part of His nature, He creates and all life is found in him and life will spring from Him. It is, obviously with a purpose but part of it is that God just likes to make things. After all, when He came to Earth He came to a carpenter’s family.

My theory:
God created the universe because he is an artist. Look outside your window, and you will see that everything, even with all the weird chemicals, is beautiful. Now imagine the world without all these toxic chemicals, you will see that it is even more beautiful. The universe, the physical and spiritual, is basically a painting made by god.
As for humans, I have no idea.
