We Catholics believe that God resides in our Churches in the Tabernacle, and hence its a very holy place for worship.

What about others like Muslims and Non Catholics? What do you feel about your place of worship? Does God / Allah reside there making it a Holy Place?

Friends do not believe that God dwells in “temples made with hands”…but indwells His people The Church…a Living Temple. Friends through their “testimony” of calling our places of worship “meetinghouses” draw a distinction between The Church and a building. God does not dwell in building made of stone and mortar…but in flesh and blood…we have a “treasure in earthern vessels”. There is no “holy place” except where God dwells within His People.

“Where two or three are met together in my name…there am I in their midst.” Friends recognize that people of other faiths believe their places of worship are “holy”…but if any holiness exists, it resides in the People not the building or it’s decorations and ritual implements.
