I live about 50 miles from the nearest big city. I have a local parish that celebrates the Mass of Pope Paul VI. However, I sometimes drive 50 miles to attend the Tridentine Rite Indult. However, I was born into and Raised on the Byzantine Rite. However, the nearest city (50 miles) has a Byzantine community which infrequently hold a byzantine liturgy in a chapel at Catholic high school on Sunday nights. I discovered today that a Cathedral in the same city has the
Syro-Malabar Rite every Sunday afternoon. My question is what is this rite and is there any similaries with it to Byzantine Liturgy or other Eastern Catholic rites.
