Ok so only one meal at anytime? Where I am originally from they believed we were to fast until 10 am and where I live now they believe its 12 noon.
Not correct. No time for eating is specified. That is up to you.
Also you are not restricted to one meal. You may eat one normal meal plus two small ones. The two small ones together should be no more than a normal meal.

No requirements, but as long as I am in good health, I will continue fasting from the evening of Spy Wednesday through the Easter Vigil, and after the Vigil Mass break my fast and celebrate with a late night breakfast feast of grits, eggs, sausage, and toast!

I didn’t say a time, and I said one meal. The other two are not meals, they are light snack type things.

If you have any condition that requires eating regularly (like diabetes, or pregnancy) you’re exempt from fasting. If this is just pertaining to medicine, you can certainly take it with food, or at least milk (unless you’re lactose intolerant).

It was always my understanding that we could at least have two very light meals on fast days, as long as they didn’t add up to one full meal and we didn’t eat between meals.

TheOldColonel, don’t ever stop being awesome. ❤️ God Bless you and have a Happy Easter.

I was born with cerebral palsy but I don’t use it as an excuse to be exempt from lent only way I would be is if I were chained to a bed helplessly.

I’m in good health too, but there is absolutely no way I am fasting on Holy Thursday. That is the day of the institution of the Eucharist, and on that day, I’m going all out—meat and all—as if it were a solemnity. I will begin the penitential mood after the Evening Mass of the Lord’s supper, and my fast begins on Good Friday.

Yeah, it would depend on the circumstances. And if I had something like a migraine or the stomach flu, I wouldn’t want to eat anyway.

They ARE meals. Two small meals that add up to not more than one normal meal plus one normal meal.

I thought that you are not just allowed to eat meat on Good Friday.

Nope, fasting also.
You’re actually supposed to do a penance every Friday such as not eating meat, but in America it can be any penance like an extra Rosary on normal Fridays.

But on Good Friday do not eat meat

One normal meal and two small meals hardly feels like a fast to me, that’s a typical day. On Good Friday and Ash Wednesday I will typically abstain from meat all day, skip breakfast, salad for lunch, then a very light dinner after sundown. No snacks. Lots of coffee.

You are free to eat less!!
