I am curious what these prayer beads are and what prayers they represent.
The bead count is 5,1,5,1,5
And there is a OL of Mt Carmel medal attached.
Any information or ideas on where to find out more would be great! I can’t seem to find anything online, and as wearer of the Carmelite Scapular, I’m very curious.
Thanks!

Yes
Thank you for the link!
I say description for a one with three sets of five, but that was for a saint and battalion. Mine as a Carmelita medallion…

Chaplet of St Anne has 3 sets of 5 beads.

This has some history and beautiful prayers that could be added as opening and closing prayers. The last prayer is how to pray the chaplet. It usually has a medal of St Anne holding the child Mary or St Anne standing with Mary holding a book. The inscription “Pray for Us” is often on the medal.

Thank you!
That’s kind of what I thought, but the Carmelite medal threw me for a loop 🙂

I also have a vintage St. Anne chaplet that has that arrangement of beads (5/1/5/1/5), but my medal has an Anne-and-young-Mary on one side and a Guardian Angel-with-children on the other. They seem to come with a variety of medals, but it doesn’t sound like a likely place of an OLOMC medal to be attached. An OLOMC chaplet seems to be 3/3/3.

Good luck figuring out your mystery!
