Sunday night (tonight), on AveMariaRadio.net online stream I caught the tail end of a talk by Father John Corapi. He was talking about sacramentals and Satanic woship and exorcisms…does anyone know what is the name of this particular talk?

Thanks!

It may have been part of his Immortal Combat series, currently airing on EWTN. In it he explains what sacramentals are (and are not); and their use. The presentations are available on DVD and CD from EWTN and from www.fathercorapi.com

I think it is Immortal Combat, too. Very good series, I might add.

Why are his CDs so expensive? Does anyone know if there is a charity that benefits from the sales? Or perhaps all his expenses are out of pocket? I know tickets to see him are often like $45/apiece too…

Today at 1:00pm est. on EWTN. Look at the schedule on his site. Tim

I think his prices are in line. He pays for all his own expenses and the ticket prices need to cover the rental of the venue.
His mission is not subsidized by any diocese and he has legal and protective ( body guard) expenses that most of us do not consider.
I have seen him 4 times and the tickets were only $25-30.

I love the man, but I would not pay those kinds of ticket prices to hear any preacher preach, not even the Pope. Sorry, but that just rubs me the wrong way. Even the Protestant health-and-wealth crowd doesn’t do that. They push the offerings really hard, but they don’t sell tickets.

Yeah, I don’t know…his high prices certainly have no effect on the orthodoxy and necessity of his teaching that we need so bad today, but the costs of his talks and CDs seem high.

I’d really like to get myself his complete series on the Catechism for Christmas, but with the lending bust, I don’t think I’m going to be able to get the requisite second mortgage on the house 😛

I’ve watched him a few times…I do understand his need for bodyguards…

But his DVDs are a little pricey…

Very interesting man, no doubt!

I’ve gotten some of mine off of Ebay for a lot less money.

wow, they have alot of CDs for $1.00, thanks for telling us!
You’re welcome. I liked some more than others. I thought Fr. C’s was good, the one on confession and The Mass Explained was excellent. I didn’t care for (but this is my taste/opinion) the one on the Rosary, and the one on Marriage and the Eucharist.

I bought a few extra and left them in the vestible at church for others to listen too.

You can get a BOATLOAD of his talks from EWTN for free…just not the ones from his own site.

Free talks here:
ftp://217.160.246.215/pub/audionet/EWTN_programs/
Lots of other audio there too.
For those interested in electronic media resources, there’s a sticky for that kind of stuff too.
