Everything we see and feel is created by God and continues to exist because of God. Without God they would become nothing. On the other hand, God, who is love exist on His own accord; and is eternal. Therefore, love is the only reality or truth. The world makes us believe that material things and self-interest will bring us happiness and security. This is a lie; because they are devoid of love. That is why we lose peace when we pursue our own interest and material goods. The world has even corrupted the meaning of the word, “love” by equating it with affinity or desire. However, love is not a feeling. It is the spirit of surrender, sacrifice, forgiveness and service. This love is revealed to us in Jesus, who emptied His life for us, so that we (who betrayed Him and were unfaithful to Him) may have life. It is this love that will bring us peace and joy, because when we exercise this love we will be true to what we are created for.

Truth??

It is a four letter word for erroneous. 😛
Are we to think you have made a statement that is true? If your statement is true then you have asserted what is blatantly false. 😛

How is it that you never seem to post anything that reflects rational consideration of the issue at hand?

It might have something to do with your definition of rational, I suspect. 😉

Truth is fact, essense, fulfillment, or consistancy. It is a fact, for example, that man needs air.

God is the truth, the absolute eternal truth, the truth itself, because He is in Himself reality, self-essential, perfect, and unchangable. He is God, therefore, He is the truth.

“God delivers us” is the truth, and the name of his son.

He who has been born of God has overcome the world…

It is because of this that the greatest prove of the exitence of God, is that humanity alone has the capacity to love and return love. [Not to be confused with affection.]

Love and prayers,

The title asks of definition, but the OP expresses significance.

Truth is what you want to accept and label as absolute. There is a user here with the signature “The ultimate truth is that there is no ultimate truth”. I couldn’t agree more.

What you want has nothing to do with real Truth.

To think otherwise is to accept solipsism.

That is not ultimately true…

There is only one true vodka and it is Schmirnoff:thumbsup:

Well that was emm… “cute”. :o

But I find that man never accomplished his first challenge. Now he seems to think life is nothing but creating challenges for others (to keep them out of his way, no doubt).

If Man would get back to his original challenge or at very least figure out what it actually was (survival of the species was a bogus excuse), I would feel a lot better. I might even be inclined to help. 😃
