? so far I say a rosary or a chaplet of divine mercy or both. Sometimes I remember other devotions like five paters for the five holy wounds.

Anyone have a favorite devotion?

Human beings are so fleeting. Self discipline is critical. Whatever you do, do it regularly. Never let any day go by without doing your daily prayer routine. God bless!

Praying the LOTH for morning, midday, evening & night prayer. Along with my daily Mass & Rosary, I always prayer the Angelus, Grace before & after meals. On Fridays, the Stations of the Cross.

I get up at three or four in the morning for two or three hours of contemplation. I pray the Divine Office and grace before meals. Stations of the Cross when I can. Lectio Divina in the afternoon - usually. Short prayers throughout the day.

I’ll admit, I’m not much of a rosary person right now. Trying to get back into the habit of praying it.

I start my day off by praying the Rosary and during the 3:00 o’clock hour, I pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet and in addition, I say an Act of Contrition three times a day, morning, noon and right before I go to bed. I say these prayers 7 days a week. I also say other shorter prayers throughout the day. Since I started this routine, I feel I have gotten closer to God and have become a better person.

Peace,
Mark

Most days I walk to morning Mass, and I pray the rosary as I walk to church and back home. First thing in the morning, I give some time to silent prayer. I offer little prayers throughout the day, especially when I’m transitioning from one task to another.

I wish I was more disciplined when it came to praying the Liturgy of the Hours. I take it up for a while, and then go for months without praying it. Also, I’m definitely a morning person when it comes to prayer. I pray most regularly in the morning, but I often fritter away my evenings with other pursuits.

Daily Mass is the most important thing for me. I follow a form of Divine Office using the Book of Common Prayer, saying Evening Prayer daily, and sometimes Morning Prayer (this can be difficult to get in because of Daily Mass - I’m not much of a morning person and can’t manage to get up early enough to say it before I go. Sometimes afterwards at the church.) Rosary three times a week (Sorrowful, Glorious, Joyful). Night prayers consisting of an Our Father, Hail Mary, Hail Holy Queen and Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel. I also add the Angelus from time to time.

I do the Liturgy of the Hours – Morning Prayer, Evening Prayer and Night Prayer, and sometimes Daytime Prayer depending on my schedule.

I usually do the Rosary before Night Prayer, and I do the “Three Hail Marys” when I wake and just before I go to sleep.

I pray Scripture Rosary daily, I also love praying novenas. Im currently doing Our Lady undoer of knots, novena of abandonment, and another one of healing. I also talk to God when I can through out the day

I pray the rosary daily, along with Guardian Angel and St. Michael prayer at night.
I came across the Divine Mercy Chaplet sung by a church choir on you tube and pray it that way during the day.
I pray whenever I drive too if I am alone in the car.

I pray my morning and evening prayers daily out of my Christian Warfare prayer book. After that I try and pray a rosary every day and try to get in the Jesus prayer. Both of those can be iffy sometimes based on the amount of work I may have each day (college student).

One thing I have been working on since about August is reading the Bible daily. This is really important for me to stay grounded in the faith and in my faith walk.

I pray the Liturgy of the Hours, Morning, noon, evening and night prayers. I also pray off an on during the day It really helps me in starting the day as well as all through the day and evening and night.

I’m trying to follow the old adage of praying constantly. 'Thank you, Lord."

I’m retired and since my wife passed I’m living alone. I have lots of free time and didn’t feel I was praying enough so I made up a schedule a couple of weeks ago and it’s working very well for me. I have about 2 hours free between sessions.

I needed this thread. I’ve recently gone off my schedule of prayer and my self-discipline is shot. Thanks to Drachir for his post, especially.

Be at peace.

ws thinking about this earlier…

How we change and grow…

I prayed the full Divine Office for years. ( I am alone and most of the time solitary first by circumstance then vocation)

Then I found I was stopping at every few verses to dwell and love…

Talked to two advisers; both Abbesses of Orders. They both opined I had moved beyond vocal prayer so I left that.

Prayer?is living. Always with Jesus, in pain, in joy Always talking ti Him… working for Him, surviving now for Him… thanking Him always for everything, and pleading withe Him for strength when things are bad,

Started he day for years with a simply litany of thanksgviing, for the night past, sleep that I can walk, for light and heat at the press of a switch, and so on…

Often at night the simple Compline prayers that are in my heart. Our Fathers always,.

So here I am, steeped in prayer, alone high up on a mountain!

Able for little but able for Jesus… prayer in every rosary I thread, every small thing I knit,

Try. And see what you can do and what feeds YOU. I never somehow connected with the rosary. I tried but my thoughts wandered too much. But making rosaries is a prayer on its own.

In the morning: a set of prayers, the ones I learned as a child (Our Father, Act of Contrition, Hail Mary, Glory Be, Apostle’s Creed, prayer to St. Jude, etc.).

At night: the same prayers.

Earlier in the evening: five decades of the Rosary.

Five additional decades on Friday as my Friday penance.
