Well, I am already a hockey writer for The Sporting News (unpaid), and I would like to someday get paid to write a sports column, and after that I would like to get involved in politics and run for political office and maybe become a judge someday.

Winemaker, sommelier or artisanal bread maker / pastry chef.
Hmmm that sounds like fun! I used to love going to wine-tastings (back when I had the time!)… I could make a career out of that! 😃

I think I’d be a tour guide to Disney! We’re there every week anyway!

Novelist (let me clarify… a published and getting paid novelist!👍 )

Seeing if Duff Goldman wants to open a franchise of Charm City Cakes in south central New Mexico.

BlueRose

To own my own coffee shop and bookstore.
I had originally planned on this, but my husband pointed out that I was sure to go bankrupt since I’d probably just lock the doors so that I wouldn’t be bothered by customers while I was chugging java and reading myself blind!:o

Nice fantasy job, though…

I’m in my “dream profession” but not quite to my dream “job” yet. I’m an attorney who really enjoys being an attorney. However, my ultimate goal as an attorney is to eventually become a particular type of judge. I’m probably still a few years away from reaching that goal.

Even if I won the huge lottery I would still practice law, just maybe by providing low cost/free services on a sliding scale.

Teaching English to children in Mexico, that would be my dream job.

Hey go for it. My grandfather was an attorney and became a federal judge. He is 82 and still loves working.

Air Traffic Controller :yup:

Airline Pilot

Aircraft Dispatcher for Medevac flights

Chainsaw carving. I’ve only done a few carvings but man do I love it. I day dream about it, crazy as that sounds, while I’m sitting in my little cubicle at work. Some folks make a decent living at it too. Maybe someday.

Fun to think about anyway:thumbsup:

getting homeless kids off the streets and into education or jobs.
after that id try and help the adults there too.

setting up small, free access community-run schools in underpriveleged communities around the world.

fostering as many children as i could care for properly

to be a doctor who does volunteer work and public health education training in a third world country

-basically social work i suppose. unfortunately this is not only something that requires money, but alot of stamina, which unfortunately i lack.

and then when i retired i would move to a peaceful place in the countryside, high on a mountain but with a view of the ocean, and write and illustrate books…probably about my experiences…

this is a cool thread! 🙂

my husband and I dream of having some land out west somewhere and having a little boarding house there. kind of like a bed and breakfast, only we would serve dinner too. We would have a garden and some chickens and maybe a cow or two. 🙂 ah dreams are nice.

although when people pick on us and say our dream is unrealistic, I say how can any dreams come true, if no one ever has them?

Sounds like a good dream to me! Let me know when you open it up and I’ll bring my bunch and we’ll stay!

So, so true. Your idea sounds great, let me know when you open it because it sounds like something DH and I would enjoy.
