I used to have a strong devotion to St. Michael. I ought to look back at recovering some of that.
My other favorite isn’t a saint (as of yet). He is Augustus Tolton- the first African American priest, whose cause for Sainthood is in process.

I’ve gone through quite a few phases here, first as an atheist and then as a newly-baptized Catholic. St. Thomas Aquinas has been there through all of it, for it was his logic and rationality that brought me to see the necessity of God. St. Ambrose of Milan, for his clear exposition and great faith in the Lord Jesus, comes second. They have been my “two favourite” saints, on an equal level, throughout my life so far.
Probably my favourite over all is St. Thomas the Apostle. He was a proud man, and allowed himself to be humbled by the Passion of Christ. Even after the Crucifixion and reports of the Resurrection, he needed more humbling. Over and over, God had to keep bringing him down a notch. After all the most trying events a man can go through, he fell down and said to Jesus: “my Lord and my God”. These words - uttered in a moment of divine revelation - have been my motto for years.
Thomas is also the patron saint of architects, and therefore a master and friend to me.

St. Ignatius of Loyola. 
I chose “Ignatius” as my confirmation name as a kid. At the time, I didn’t really know much about the Jesuits. At the time, my godmother had just bought me a videotape of this kid’s cartoon about St. Francis Xavier and his (non-historical) adventures in the East.
The premise of the video is that it is being told by Ignatius to some kids. Anyway, I really liked the character of Ignatius, because he is depicted as being very devoted to God and willing to help his friend Francis humbly.
Later on, when we were going through the confirmation process, learning about the sacrament and so forth, I found a little kids biography of St. Ignatius. I decided I’d pick him!
Since then, Jesuit education has been a huge part of my life. I think it was definitely the work of the Holy Spirit that I was exposed so early to St. Ignatius’s life, even before I became aware of the nature of Ignatian spirituality and the Jesuits.

Saint Anne - Patron saint of Unmarried Women (that’s me!) and Saint Teresa of Avila - Patron Saint of people who suffer with headaches/migraines (that’s me!). These two saints spoke to me as soon as I read about them; I know now who I’ve been sending up silent prayers to for all these years “Please help me deal with being alone” and “Please don’t let me be sick with this migraine”. They’re both my confirmation saints; I was confirmed Teresa-Anne in December.

Excluding the Mother of God and Angels I would have to say St. Faustina, I can relate to her hearing and seeing Christ and His mother as well as hearing them. Also the Diary is so beautiful and spiritually mesmerizing it is second only to the Bible imo

Sometimes when I go and shoot some hoops (basketball), I invite the Saints to play with me. The usual winners are lil Therese, Teresa of Avila, and Francis. When the weather cools down I’ll invite more saints to the game.:ballspin:
