“The greatest destroyer of peace today is abortion, because it is a war against the child, a direct killing of the innocent child, murder by the mother herself. And if we accept that a mother can kill even her own child, how can we tell other people not to kill one another?”

~Saint Mother Teresa~

I have it on a placard and the placard says anonymous … thanks for the information … most appreciated.

Your placard is likely attributed to “Anonymous” because someone is trying to get out of paying the Merton Foundation a fee for the work. It’s one of those prayers that people just love to put on posters or in books. See the comments on here. (I have absolutely no idea why a “struggling writer” would think it OK to rip off someone else’s prayer to make money, but whatever.)

Thank you … I didn’t doubt you … just upset that I didn’t know who wrote it.

To Soeur Dominique Brunet;

“They think I’m a saint… When I’m dead, they’ll come and touch holy pictures and rosaries to me, and all the while I’ll be getting broiled on a grill in purgatory. At least promise me you’ll pray a lot for the repose of my soul.”

~Saint Bernadette Soubirous~

’ The spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He has anointed Me to bring glad tidings to the poor, He has sent me to proclaim liberty to captives, and recovery’ of sight to the blind,to let the oppressed go free and to proclaim a year acceptable to the Lord ‘Today within your hearing, the scriptures are fulfilled,’

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.
(Psalm91:1)

PAULINA:
“It is required
You do awake your faith. Then all stand still;
On: those that think it is unlawful business
I am about, let them depart”(The Winter’s Tale)

one of my favorite Bible Verses:

Isaiah 40: 31

But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength,
they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary,
they shall walk and not faint.

“The Father spoke one Word, which was His Son, and this Word He speaks always in eternal silence, and in silence must it be heard by the soul.”

St. John of the Cross, The Sayings of Light and Love, #100.

“My soul magnifies the Lord
And my spirit leaps for joy in God my Savior.
For He has looked with favor on the humility of His handmaid.
For behold, from this time, all generations shall call me blessed.
For He who is great has done great things for me, and Holy is His Name.
And His mercy is from generation to generations for those who fear Him.
He has accomplished powerful deeds with His arm. He has scattered the arrogant in the intentions of their heart.
He has deposed the powerful from their seat, and He has exalted the humble.
He has filled the hungry with good things, and the rich He has sent away empty.
He has taken up His servant Israel, mindful of His mercy
Just as He spoke to our fathers: to Abraham and to his offspring forever.”
Virgin Mary

The Holy Spirit showed me this verse one day as I was sitting in a Southern Baptist church.

Psalm 119:34 (KJV)
“Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law; yea, I shall observe it with my whole heart.”

Something very interesting. I tried looking up the verse in the Douay-Rheims Bible 1899 Edition to compare the wording and it wasn’t there. Psalm 119 ends with Verse 7. Yet, the verse is in our more modern Catholic editions of the Holy Bible. Does anyone know why it’s not in the DRA?

Maybe an incomplete amcient manuscript on the part of the translator of the DRA? That’s just my guess.

“Remember that nothing happens without My permission, and be very calm and serene. There is nothing like serenity for convincing people of the Good. This was My response to the craftiness of the Pharisees. So, be calm in your soul, and happily docile to My will. As you look back over your life, don’t you see that My will was always for your good? This is because I love you, and it’s the same for everyone, since I love each of you individually. I see you all differently; I see every detail about you, do you understand? My love is not of global love.
I need each one of you as though you were the only person in the world, as though the cosmos had been created for you alone, and My love is greater than the cosmos. So let this thought be a strength to you and your smiling calm.
Let us include My Mother in this life of ours. Do you really believe that Her love is active on your behalf? Oh, My little girl, have faith in the great things that you can do with Us. Without Us…but you are already aware of your nothingness."

-Jesus to Gabrielle Bossis

When you approach the tabernacle remember that he has been waiting for you for twenty centuries.

St Josemaria Escriva

How can the mother of Jesus, present at the foot of the Cross on Calvary, who offered her Son as Victim for the salvation of souls, be absent at the mystical Calvary of the altar?
St Pio

Surely He hath borne our griefs and carried our sorrows, yet we did esteem Him stricken, smitten of God and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities, the chastisement of our peace and with His stripes we are healed:🦋🦋
