I agree, Leviticus is excellent as the book which prefigures the Sacraments of the Eucharist and Confession.

Also, the Holiness Code of Leviticus 19 is excellent stuff.

That Book has incense and the burnt offerings that the Catholic Church uses.
 
Job is definitely a great one. My first time reading I told my mother how much I liked the Book of J-AH-B. She just giggled saying “It’s pronounced J-OH-B”. I’m notorious for mispronunciation.
 
Hard question. Wisdom is amazing, I like the one liners. I like compact nuggets of wisdom.

The gospels are second, then acts, the Colosians.
 
Sure is; it doesn’t help that pronunciation changes based on what part of the country you reside in. Also with poets bending words to fit in stanza patterns, it just becomes all the more confusing. 😓
 
My favorite is the Book of James. It’s a very practical guide as to how one is to live the Christian life. We can quote scripture at people all day in order to attempt a “witness”, but without specifics, it’s really quite meaningless. James provides that.
 
Genesis and Revelation. I love the story of God creating man out of love and learning about the beginning of everything. I like Revelation because it’s so deep and interesting. It’s crazy to think there’s a book out there on events that haven’t even happened yet.
 
Is the “Synagogue of Satan” an anti-semitic name for the Jews?
 
We don’t know for sure, but the same scripture says they are not Jews, do don’t read too much into it. I would speculate they might have been Judaizers.
 
For me it might be Acts of the Apostles. I also like the epistles of St. Paul.
 
I have several books that at certain times made big impacts on me. Job had its impact. And the four Gospels are particulary powerful! Luke and John striking interests. And Acts is amazing! James bringing some balance to a complicated side of Paul.

But recently, ive been amazed at how much of 1st Corinthians ive been referring to! That book has alot going on! Very cool!
