What is your favorite comedy film?

The Goodbye Girl was a sweet romantic comedy. Also, The Greatest American Hero.

The Sunshine Boys with George Burns and Walter Matthau had a sweet, funny charm.

MAS*H. Not my taste in humor, but many thought it funny.

I had gone to see that film with my parents when I was about 5-6. I don’t remember it much, but I remember my dad liking it.

Fun with Dick and Jane (the original with Jane Fonda and George Segal)

The remakes of ther In-Laws and Fun w/Dick & Jane can’t hold a candle to the originals.
 
‘Ferris Bueller’s Day Off’, ‘So I Married an Axe Murderer’ are a couple of my favorites that come to mind right away!

I just noticed that MAS*H appears on this thread (#62) and also on the “Favorite war movie” thread (#8). I agree: I’d put it on both lists, as well.

Similarly, I’ll list Airplane as one of my top comedies and also as my top disaster movie.

Four more of my top comedies that nobody else has mentioned yet:

The Blues Brothers
The Italian Job (the original one, with Michael Caine)

In the hilarious “Airplane” there is a joke every 15 seconds on average, so if you miss one or two, there is sure to be another coming very soon.
 
I also like The Christmas Story about the boy who wants a Red Ryder Bb gun for Christmas is another comedy I like.
 
Nobody has mentioned Funny Farm with Chevy Chase Christmas Vacation, one of my faves.
Also Vegas Vacation. Wayniacs. LOL
