We’re getting sort of a blue cheese & chocolate theme going here. 😃

Being currently pregnant, blue cheese seems to be a favorite for some reason, not sure why. sure won’t eat it on a salad 🤷

I’ve never been pregnant, and I’ve always loved blue cheese – it just must be good stuff. 👍

I’m getting hungry (and enjoying very much) reading all your posts on your favorite comfort food(s). 😃

Hmmm…I think I’ll grab myself some chocolate ice-cream. 🙂

Hi!

I’d like to know what others have as their favorite comfort food.

Chiz Curls (cheese flavored corn curls)

🙂
They are called Chiz Curls?! :rotfl:
That would so never catch on in the UK!
(I’ll let somebody else explain my vulgar humour)

As for me, tortilla chips with blue cheese - preferably spreadable dolcelatte - it’s a match made in heaven. It’s also responsible for my sizeable belly 😦

For a short phase I liked grilled cheese with peanut butter on one side of the bread!!!

Then I started experimenting with toasted sandwich with peanut butter and marshmallows (mini’s) and then gradually got brave enough to thinly slice bananna to the mix., which led to drizzling choc syrup on it too.

😦

I go nutty with toasted sandwich creations.

Ice cream. (Wiping away drool) Especially the good stuff, like Breyers, or homemade, or Ben & Jerry’s, or… (drooling again)

Have you tried Cold Stone Creamery yet? There is one in my neighbourhood, but I haven’t tried it.

Blue cheese on the small toasted garlic bread, or any good snack cracker, honey drizzled over the cheese and topped with toasted almond slivers. To die for!!! A nice glass of wine goes well with this!

Love and peace,

Shrimp stew over white rice with potato salad on the side…when it is really cold, shrimp and crab gumbo w/ potato salad…when I was pregnant (feel different about the stuff now…) I thought hoghead cheese on crackers was the best food i ever tasted!

Its good, they throw it on a slab of marble I think, mix it all up for entertainment value in front of you, and its soooo expensive you better bring loads of cash if you are going to get any of it. I think my one scoop in a cup was nearly 5 bucks.

What flavours do they have?

I got plain ole strawberry since that is what I saw the guy working on the slab with, but I did notice they had pistacshio (sp?) and your basics, The place was so crowded I did not even get a seat and had to eat it outside on a bench with my child. I dont know how many but they even make Ice cream cakes too.

Well it depends on the category.

Sweets-Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ice Cream, either from Ben and Jerry’s (two of my favorite people) or from Coldstone.

Munchies-Cheetos, no idea why I love them so but I do.

Bad day at work-Cheese pizza with extra cheese and extra sauce.

Indulging myself-Chipolte’s burritos.

Obviously I’m not really a cook for myself type person 😛 But any of the above will cheer me up immediately.

Regarding

lak611 - 16 cups of coffe and tea (caffeine) a day - I’m worried about you

wifenmommy - I think I know you or are related (como se va cher)

Hellisreal - If you have to ask what it is - you don’t want to know - you should see how we make it at the boucherie~

Comfort food hmmmmmmm…how about some

Little Debbie Swiss Cake Rolls
Theater style candy - junior mints or sno-caps
Boiled crawfish (a southern Lenten delicacy)
pecan pie
banana pudding

Can you tell I’m from the South?

If I’m sick with a cold - wonton soup - nothing else will do. 😃

If not, and I just need comfort food - Pastina - itty bitty tiny little pasta stars.

This is how I make it:

Cook the pastina according to directions, drain well, and leave in the non-stick pot. Add one beaten egg, stirring into the hot pasta to cook the egg (turn the burner back on low if needed). Add some butter, and some small cubes of cheddar cheese. Stir it all together until the cubes just start melting on the edges but are still chunks. Salt and pepper to taste.

Oh wow - now that’s comfort food!!! 😃

I googled it up and I am going to be very very ill so excuse me while I wretch my brains out now.

I am a candy man: Twizler’s red licorice ropes, M&Ms, and Good & Plenties (yes, someone out there actually like black licorice–at least when it is candy-coated and in pill form).😃
