Headcheese!!!

Hoghead cheese its the sickest thing I never knew about in my entire life!

I got plain ole strawberry since that is what I saw the guy working on the slab with, but I did notice they had pistacshio (sp?) and your basics, The place was so crowded I did not even get a seat and had to eat it outside on a bench with my child. I dont know how many but they even make Ice cream cakes too.
The cakes would have to be really expensive, though, if they charge $5 for one scoop of ice cream. Are they around $50?

I dont know, I am going to check online right now. I hope they simply overcharged me a lot by mistake. I sometimes get copuns for them in the bulk portion of the paper, and never remember to use copons anyway.

Ohhhhh!!! Headcheese!!! I gottcha! Yes, headcheese makes me ill as well - my grandparents used to eat that when I was little. The thought of it makes me sick.

Glad you don’t hold anything against the humble pastina. 😃

I am a candy man: Twizler’s red licorice ropes, M&Ms, and Good & Plenties (yes, someone out there actually like black licorice–at least when it is candy-coated and in pill form).😃
AngelicDoctor… Have you tried Licorice Altoids yet… mmmm I ordered a case of them!!!

in fact, I liked it enough to feed my child pastina alot but never tried doing it your way, which I will try. I just boiled it and it was a hit with my little one and Still is! Now I simply add some tomatoes (in the can diced kind)to it and all is good. 🙂

Here is the promised link to coldstone creamery and I am putting a call in now to see what they say about prices since I think it needs to be out in the public now.

I want to get to the bottom of this.

Cook the pastina according to directions, drain well, and leave in the non-stick pot. Add one beaten egg, stirring into the hot pasta to cook the egg (turn the burner back on low if needed). Add some butter, and some small cubes of cheddar cheese. Stir it all together until the cubes just start melting on the edges but are still chunks. Salt and pepper to taste.
Hey, that sounds good! I want to try it. I may use orzo, which is one of my favorite small pasta shapes. 🙂

I learned about making it with the egg from a Mexican lady who said it is a very common staple for Mexican children, and a good way to get some protein in them without too much fuss. The cheese was my idea. 😃

The trick, I’ve learned, is using a non-stick pan, otherwise the egg sticks like crazy.

You could also use acini pepe or tubettini. You could even use dittalini if you wanted it a bit chunkier.

I don’t like Little Debbie Swiss Cake (it’s chocolate, which I hate). I like the candy, crawfish, pecan pie and banana pudding. What about the grits? I love those. I miss travelling to the South because the restaurants here do not serve grits.
