The word “Trilogy” in the poll changed my answer. There are many non-trilogies better than Lord of the Rings, and my favorite depends on my mode and include, but are not limited to, Jesus of Nazarath, The Passion of the Christ, Brother Son Sister Moon, and The Gods Must be Crazy (very humorous for me).

Religious:

“The Robe”

Comedy:
  1. Anything by Woody Allen, esp. “Banannas”, “Annie Hall,” “Sleeper,” and “Zelig.”
  2. “Where’s Poppa?”
Crime Drama:

. “Blood Simple”

Western:

“Nevada Smith”

Horror:

Hammer Films’ “Dracula” series.

Man I LOVE those three!

As far as religious movies go, I find a lot of them a bit heavy going, though “Passion of the Christ” was certainly impactful. I prefer more light-hearted stuff like Bing Crosby in “Going My Way” and “Bells of St Mary’s”

The Passion of the Christ
The Lord of the Rings trilogy
The Chronicles of Narnia, the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe
Harry Potter movies

and also Going My Way, The Birds, Sahara (with Humphrey Bogart), Cats the musical, and Monsters Inc. I love old movies, especially Alfred Hitchcock films.
