without a doubt the Rosary. it is so powerful and helps me to go into deep meditation and contemplation on our Lord. the mysteries help to break wide open the Gospel. it calms me and brings me so much happiness and peace. so many graces, so much practical psychological and biological benefits.

at one time i got bored of it and started exploring and doing the Divine Mercy instead. it just wasn’t the same (for me). i went back to the Rosary as my primary. don’t get me wrong, i still do both. that’s what i love about the Catholic Church, we have so many tools available for everyone, it’s universal!

on a side note my favorite sung prayer is the Adoremus, especially when sung by the Poor Clare Nuns of Perpetual Adoration on EWTN’s Benediction and Devotion show. they sound like angels!

do you ever go through a period of time when you have a favourite prayer that you like to say or a favourite prayer intention that you like to pray for…and then after a while it changes?

what is your favourite prayer (any prayer… if it’s your favourite it doesn’t matter) and what is your favourite prayer intention

ANGELIC PEACE
My favorite prayer is the “Our Father”
Favorite intention are the poor souls.

…Rosary, although I never like it, the devil did a number on me,
what do you mean “the devil did a number on me”?
I had an aversion to the Rosary, it was whats the point of all this, then I read “The Rosary and the Crisis of Faith” and the Saint Louis De Montfort book on the Rosary and it gradually got me thinking.

Also I thought since Mary desires that we say it, I’ll try and make her happy as my Heavenly Mother and do as she says and bury my own selfish will.

And while praying it in my living-room about 3 years ago, I got the scent of Roses.
Chaplet for the Holy Souls, what is the prayers for the chaplet for the holy souls (i like praying for them)
How to pray the Chaplet for the Holy Souls

The devotion of the Chaplet for the Holy Souls is prayed on the most popular 59 beads Marian Rosary which is one of the Catholic Church Sacramentals.

Make the “Sign Of The Cross” on the Cross. Then say the I Believe In God…

On the 5 beads between the Cross and the medal, say,

1 Our Father…
3 Hail Mary…
1 Glory Be…
For each decade, proceed as follows:

On the large bead prior to 10 small beads, say:

“O Holy Souls
draw the fire of God’s love into my soul,
to reveal Jesus Crucified in me here on earth,
rather than hereafter in Purgatory.”

On each of the small beads, say:

“Crucified Lord Jesus,
have mercy on the souls in Purgatory.”

When you have completed all 5 decades, say 3 times the Glory Be…

**I also like the “Golden Arrow” prayer. **

May the most holy, most sacred,
most adorable, most mysterious
and unutterable Name of God
be always praised, blessed,
loved, adored and glorified,
in heaven, on earth and under the earth,
by all the creatures of God,
and by the Sacred Heart of Our Lord Jesus Christ
in the most holy Sacrament of the altar.

There are so many beautiful prayers here to add to my prayer notebook!

Favorite prayer (currently!):Watch, O Lord, with those who wake,
or watch, or weep tonight,
and give Your Angels and Saints charge over those who sleep.
Tend Your sick ones, O Lord Christ.
Rest Your weary ones,
Bless Your dying ones,
Soothe Your suffering ones,
pity Your afflicted ones,
Shield Your joyous ones,
And all for Your love’s sake.
Amen.
- Saint Augustine

Favorite prayer intentions are for peace:Give peace in our times, O Lord, because there is none other that fighteth for us, but only Thou, O our God.
V. Peace be within thy walls,
R. And abundance within thy towers.
Let us pray: O God, from whom all holy desires, all right counsels and all just works do proceed; give unto Thy servants that peace which the world cannot give, that both our hearts my be set to obey Thy commandments, and also that we, being delivered from the fear of our enemies, may pass our time under Thy protection in rest and quietness. Through Christ our Lord, Amen.

“O Blood and Water which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a Fount of Mercy for us, I trust in You!” Gives the grace of conversion to one soul each time it is prayed with a contrite heart ❤️ I ask Jesus to apply these prayers that I say to the souls of His little ones who will be dying today and going to Hell.
Thank you for sharing that info… I didn’t know that. I mean, i knew the prayer but not about one soul being given the grace of conversion every time we say it.

Is it the soul of one we are thinking of while praying it?? Or some unknown soul the Lord chooses???
