Jesus put his mission as the highest priority, even risking his life for it. We all have different talents, gifts, skills and passions and priorities. What are you here for? Is there something unique about your mission?

That’s a very deep question. I guess my mission is to display the grace of God to my family. They’re all unbelievers, but they might see God working in my life and end up converting. I pray for them all the time.

My mission in life is to become a saint. There is nothing more important than this.

My mission is to love and serve my brothers and sisters in Christ through my profession as a Nurse. It’s my life mission and I believe that God is transforming, purifying and expanding my heart to love more.

I ask because I have been asking myself. Jesus was willing to die for his mission. Do I feel that strongly about anything? Really? We pray, “Thy will be done.” But what if “Thy will” is the opposite of “My will”? What then? Bargaining? Rationalization? I reflect on this as it looks like I will have to leave my job and move after 20 years there. Leave my comfort zone. But then, what is my mission? To be comfortable? It seems like it has been. Or at least God’s will and my. Will were aligned. So what is my Mission? I think it has to do with healing through listening to others. And now it is time to do it somewhere else.

And I might add that I have let this forum interfere. In my weakness I have engagesd in unheaing remarks. That has to stop.
