The last one I got was the one by Royksopp which has the Geico- caveman-in-the-airport song (“Remind Me”) I’ve gone bats for this group and spent way too much time looking for who did it, because I’m rather a Luddite and haven’t learned to use search engines as well as the average two-year-old.
My taste is eclectic: electronica, Russian classical composers, George Gershwin, George Winston, jazz, Neil Young, Springsteen, Yes; Pat Boone, but only his heavy metal cover album because his versions of “Stairway to Heaven” and “Enter Sandman” are, um, interesting.
Yes, Pat Boone DID do that album. I had a hard time believing it too.

I visited the “Caveman’s Crib” (interactive) web site, and took a look at his iPod – that’s how I found Royksopp (I have that CD, too). Gosh, I can’t remember the last CD I bought. U2’s Greatest Hits maybe. Speaking of…if you get the chance, go see the IMAX U23D, it is really awesome.

It is said that someone dared him to look at metal lyrics and prove there are references to Satan, and if they were found Satan-free Pat was to record the songs. Pat lost, and “In a Metal Mood” was recorded. He lost his job at Trinity Broadcasting awhile, prompting him to scoff, “They should just get a life!” This bet was probably made on the golf course teeing off with Alice Cooper.
