At what point in time do you plan to choose Heaven? Do you imagine that God will wait until after you have died, to present you with these two choices?

.
From the sound of the theology, in that God doesn’t condemn anyone to hell, rather people condemn themselves to hell…I’ll just choose heaven.

It seems pretty clear that God doesn’t have any say in which choice I make, so if the Christian God turns out to be real and he doesn’t force me to hell…

It’s a pretty simple choice, I’ll just choose the more pleasant venue.

I had always thought that God was supposed to judge the living and dead, but I suspect that I was wrong in that belief.

He will do that on the Last Day. Until then, we are judged at the moment of death. (Not some time later on, after having been presented with the choice of Heaven or Hell. The choices of Heaven or Hell take place here on the earth, while we are still alive.)

That’s good. Just be sure to choose it today. 🙂

Here are some opinions:

a) No such place actually exists
b) It’s just a figurative idea without any reality attached to it
c) It’s total separation from God forever
d) Hell is present in the here and now
e) Only the very wicked people will go to hell
g) It doesn’t matter because there’s no such thing as an afterlife
g) It doesn’t matter because all people will end up in heaven anyway

Believe me or Not. You donot wanna know about hell how it looks like. I know from Quran that who ever dwell in it will never escape from it. And in that you have to drink yellow think when your wound becomes anticaptic you will have those fluid to drink in hell. And you will drink like you are thristy for 2-3 days.Your body skin well burn and come back again to be burned. And everyone knows that skin is the place where we feel burning. So these type of thing going to happens over there. So it better to repent and come to the truth. But also Allah/God told us in Quran that i will fill up hell with human and demons/jin/jinni

have you been to the threads about there possibly being more women in Hell than men?

i tend to agree w/ George Bush 1… No, wait, it was the prime minister of Canada i agree with… He said that (like GB’s wife) his wife also held grudges… then he asked something like: Do you think its because women are less forgiving?

I am a woman and i tend to think this is true… some of the most unforgiving people i know are women…

but also, as stated on that thread…
more men may be in Heaven because they face death more than women do (war…)…

(I saw this video once where this Jayne Smith said she had an afterlife experience & went to the gate of Heaven… and there were so many MEN there… as though there were more men than women (though she didn’t exactly say that but implied it)… so that got me to wondering why that would be….

I also tend to think women worship their spouses more than vice versa… when Jesus said that we are to love him more than anyone… anything less than that is idolatry…
The men are all standing around waiting for the women to come out of all the cool shops…😃

I wouldn’t necessarily assert a disbelief in the ideas you’ve used to portray the horror of separation from God but merely note that those ideas seem to vary depending upon the source one consults. I haven’t spent any time studying the jinn(s) but I do remember the demonic jiin in Wishmaster and Wishmaster 2. I thought Andrew Divoff’s delivery was brilliant. Perhaps the most memorable line (in Wishmaster 2) was when Nathaniel Demerest declared to the priest:

I think you have your demons mixed up, Father.

Anyway, thanks for taking the time to respond.

Appreciatively,
Mick

God is omniscient. God had the foreknowledge to know that Lucifer ( Satan) would rebel, yet he freely chose to create him anyway. God knew all of the consequences of willing Lucifer into existence, yet he did so anyway.

hi arcio…if god had the foreknowledge of lucifers treachery, yet created him anyway, doesnt that mean that he knows how everything is going to turn out and doesnt that negate the actuality/necessity of both free will and salvation?..if it’s all preordained then why bother?..…frederick

Ask your God, but don’t hold your breath waiting for answer.

I’ve highlighted my belief.

Hell is here and now. lol
Please donot tell that Heaven is here and now also. Hahahahhahhahahah
What i meant is that hell exists here and now! not on earth but it dies exist here and now just like we know heaven does!

They are not very good opinion
OK i’ll expand. I believe that what the catholic church teaches in regars to hell is 100% true. It is the eternal separation from god and grace! it is the eternal punishment for sins committed against god from which there is no respite! It is a place of umimaginable pain, anguish, darkness, hatred, anger etc. and that’s just the physical side of it.

The spiritual pain is that your soul is no longer with god’s grace (or at least the opportunity to obtain god’s grace), there is no hope because you have seperated god from your soul for all eternity.

but it dies exist here and now just like we know heaven does? Please explain
We know there is a hell and there is a heaven at this very moment, right now, today, is what i’m saying. We know these places exist.

okay so you believe there is hell and heaven after we die and raise up on judgement day and send in either in hell or heaven. Is this right. Is this what you mean? if not than you are in wrong track.

Yes tom, this is exactly what i mean. Being a practising catholic it’s what i know.
