Thanks be to God, that the Lord has been patient enough with my stubborn blindness to show me the truth about Him and his Church.
Thanks, Waynec, and others for your kind comments. If it were not for Mother Church and her patience I would not have gained this that I share.
And for those wondering, when Logically directed that text from Scripture at me, “do not cast your pearls before swine,” I am sure he did it in ignorance. Many are unaware of the connection the misuse of this text has had in history, especially in connection with the Spanish Inquisition and my direct ancestral line. Many in my family tree were tortured and killed in connection with the misuse of this text of Christ.
To use that text the way Logically did to a Sephardic Jew like myself (a Jew from Spain) is pretty much equivalent to painting a swastika on my door. My family members were driven from Spain in 1492 by the Spanish Inquisition even though many of us had been Catholics since the origins of Christianity. Just recently Spain put into law the “right of return” for people like me because of this injustice, and the Church itself has made great strides to right the wrongs of that era.
While I attribute Logically’s use of this text to mostly ignorance, it does not make it any less an evil of this world or any less inexcusable. I also do not think that his actions are reflective of Jehovah’s Witnesses in general.
