The article is flawed. It isn’t necessarily what Kennedy would say, it is what the author is telling the leaders via snippets from things Kennedy said. For example on war. Kennedy was in no way a pacifist nor an isolationist. He committed us in Vietnam and he nearly started WWIII with the USSR over missles in Cuba and Turkey.

Personally, I think Kennedy would be very much supportive of what our current President Bush is doing.

LOL, an what would JFK have had to say to Bill Clinton??? 😃

“If you’re gonna fool around, you ought to pick a sexier and classier babe than that Monica chick, and try not to get caught next time, Billy Boy, okay?”

What would JKF say to all our CINO l elected officials? Oh yeah, don’t let your religion influence your job. He set Catholics back years with his decision!

Stop the presses…I agree. The price of Kennedy’s election was the sellout of his religion.

Hey guys, I agree with you all too 😃

Kennedy let the berlin wall be built, turned vietnam into a police action, and ignored his faith. He was one of the most overated president’s we’ve ever had. It’s such a shame that he and his family of misfits, drunks, murders, and heretics is worshiped by some in the Irish Catholic (american) community. ( Like most in my family)

LOL, they are a bunch of philandering silverspooners… 😃

I am going to say something that alot of people might get upset by BUT it is my opinion so please don’t get to angry. Also never tell grandmother or I might be disowned. (See my whole family is dems and my dad is rep and my sister and I also have very conservative views)

JFK wasn’t that great of a president. His domestic and especially his foreign polices fueled problems at home and aboard. His legacy has been romanticized because of his family and everything that happened afterwards. He was murdered while in office and then his brother and then his son etc…He is not Abe Lincoln and doesn’t deserve to be considered one of the “great” presidents. Had he lived people might put him into the same category as Carter. A nice guy but not a very good president. Instead he is “worshipped” by both sides and the general population. I was so upset with the last election and people comparing JFK to Kerry. It turns out the media was right because both sold out their religions to be elected into office.

GOD BLESS,

Beckers

I think that Kerry fashioned himself after JFK, and he told some he was the next JFK. I think that Teddy Kennedy groomed Kerry for many years to run for President. However, this is only my opion also.

JFK gave his life to service and for that we can be grateful. However, I think that you are right. Had he lived, he would not have been so romanticisized by many Catholics.

I don’t accept his ways as those to be revered. I gave up Camelot a long time ago.

JFK did go after the mob and corrupt unions. He was quietly pro-life. He was for an across the board tax cut. He did support the military and was anti-communist.

In order words, he could not be nominated for dog-catcher in the Democratic party today.

Aside from the elected sell-outs such as Ted Kennedy, Rosa DeLauro, Nancy Pelosi and John Kerry, the worst of all was Justice William J. Brennan.

Along with Earl Warren, Eisenhower declared him the worst mistake of his presidency. Ike had consolted with Cardinal Spellman before selecting Brennan too.

JFK, if timewarped from 1963 to today, he would identify will today’s GOP, not todays democrats.

What does THAT mean? He didn’t have Roe to deal with after all. Takes a lot of guts to oppose something illegal…not.

Remembering JFK well, I agree.
And, though I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again, had Bobby lived, I think, with his principles and morality, he would have been THE president of the 20th century.
And Bobby was a practicing, faithful Catholic!
